Why are Content Platforms Trending!

Hey Guys!
This is 2020, the worst year for anyone to actually be alive!
We have suffered so much, from news of a world war sprouting, from bush fires,
a new virus that has the whole globe under lock down and now in my country,
India there's a war among the content creators of the two most trending social media
platforms: YouTube vs Tiktok

Now generally, this topic has been a trend in India particularly the reason being the fact that the
content on Tiktok is not actually 'content' but small clips of people acting as 'wanna be' actors
('seriousness intended) and lots of cringe content on the platform. The spark burst into a raging fire
due to the fact that the roasters started to work on their 'content' which caused the audience of both
the platforms to develop hate towards each other.

But the main 'hot roast of 2020' goes to the one and only, CarryMinati:

This video, as I am writing this post has around 72M views and 10M likes, the Youtuber has
shattered almost all records of Youtube by a single video.

Speaking about the fact, there is no actual comparison, while it's agreeable that Tiktok is now a hot trend among youngsters and Youtube is a O.G search engine/video platform I will say that Tiktok will
stay in trend for a couple of years, but will fuzz out eventually, while Youtube won't! because it's a
search engine for video content; One cannot compete with a platform with a reach of almost all the devices in the world!

Also to to look at it with another perspective, I think its a very good to topic to earn some attention
because while people are in lockdown, what's the best way to spend their 'quality time' than debate on a useless, saturated topic which won't lead to any conclusion, also if this is a PR Stunt, then it's a very good one! as more people will look both these platforms for this topic which will result in the growth of the user base of the Platforms,
I hope my post made some sense and I look forward to your two-cents on this topic too!
